The first class
Goodnews Foundation Academy opens with four pupils in nursery and primary education.

Our story
Goodnews Foundation Academy began with a clear belief: give children quality teaching, strong values and room to realise their potential.
Where the journey began
The Academy opened on 10 September 2012 with four pupils and a vision laid by its proprietor, Rev. Simon Nwali.
The school began with nursery and primary education at 12B Igbokwe Street in Abakaliki. As families experienced the school’s dedication to academic performance and values, parents asked for a secondary section that would allow pupils to continue their education within the same trusted community.
That next chapter began on 11 September 2017. Since then, Goodnews Foundation Academy has continued to grow in learners, staff, facilities and the breadth of experiences offered across school life.

Nursery, primary and secondary learners grow together within one values-led school.
Our vision is for learners to contribute positively to the well-being of society—using their education, character and confidence in service of others.
